While politics in Cuba permeate all fabrics of society, there are many topics that can be discussed without getting too involve in the former. I would suggest the following. Use both, Google News, and Prensa Latina as sources of ongoing government funded projects in Cuba. Then invest time and resources documenting their progress. I have no idea how political this will turn out on your side, but it is worth a try. I think that many people, both inside and outside of Cuba, would reconsider many positions, if the government driven projects were carefully documented. Document the pros, cons, pictures, interviews, budget, things-done, things-left-to-be-done, comparisons with other countries with similar fiscal budgets, etc. Thanks for your efforts. I guess these are bad times to talk about Cuba without talking about politics, because the island's situation is sooooo linked to politics right now that all I can think of about this country these days ends up there. Cuban politics today annoy sooo much that they cannot be simply disregarded or ignored. I'd like to have a life and environment less politicized, where I wouldn't need to take care of political issues so often. Unfortunately, reality imposes over desire :-( Maybe facing it and not avoiding politics is the answer. What do you think? I am on the same situation.
